Like the song, long and tan………. this dangly paper bead earrings will surely turn heads and you feel instant glam when you put it on. I love how paper beads can take ordinary to extraordinary pieces of jewelry. It is simple, chic and definitely makes a statement. This pair is very simple to make: Just take olive shape paper beads, softflex (any stringing material), seed beads, spacer shape crystal, crimp and earring finding. String the paper beads and seed beads to desired pattern and crimp, you’re done.

Christmas is finally over and now looking forward to New Year. If you’re like me, I will just wear the same old black dress and accessorize! I have something for you I think is New Year’s Eve party worthy. It is very, very inexpensive but can be customized to match your outfit. I was playing with paper beads (as usual), and came up with something that has texture and can be custom made to your liking. I am giving away this pair of earrings, all you have to do is write me a comment on how you think I made the paper bead that’s the main component to this earring.
Since I am only picking one, I will give instructions on how to make them on my next post. Fair enough? Okay, here’s images of what I call my New Year’s Eve Party Earrings.
I can tell you this, I used the metal paper bead roller, to come up with the tube shape paper bead.

Cindy Johnson is one of avid beaders who has just discovered paper beads, I am impressed at her enthusiasm and creativity when it comes to coming up with new ways to turn paper beads into wearable jewelry. Cindy works as a Registered Nurse at a local hospital and finds beading as a great stress reliever. In her own words:
” For the last 22 years of my life I have been an RN. For the last nine months I have been a beader. I find it a great way to relieve stress after a difficult shift and also a great way to express my creativity. My daughter Kate (12 yrs. old) has also gotten into beading and is getting really good.”

A bird’s eye view
The chandelier earring finding she put together from jewelry bought at Dollar Tree for a dollar! I love it when looking stylish does not have to cost an arm and a leg.
She also made this necklace with blue paper bead tubes, Kate agreed to model for us. I wish I took a close up of it.
You must be wondering why I’m only showing one earring, for some reason the other pair got lost in Cindy’s huge bag. She was in a rush to finish Christmas shopping so we did not have the time to look for it.
Cuff Bracelet With Baby Paper Beads
These bracelets are fun, hip, cute and best of all, easy to put on! With this bracelet you can forget about the troubles of trying to fasten a clasp without even asking for help. Not only that but they’re fun and easy to make!
I decided to use a mix of baby paper beads, firepolish glass beads and seed beads. I used thick gauged craft wire for the band, and braided them together, giving the bracelet it’s cute, casual look. Trust me, it is as easy as that.
Materials:
Size 8 Seed Beads
4mm Fire Polish Glass Beads
18 Gauge Craft Wire
Step 1:
Cut four 8 inch pieces and two 2 inch pieces of 18 gauge craft wire. Make a wire loop, using round-nose pliers, on one end of each of the three 8 inch pieces. Take one of the smaller pieces and make a wire loop at one end. Strand the longer pieces onto the smaller piece, start and end with a seed bead, & put one in between each piece to space them apart. Close off the end of the smaller piece with a wire loop.
Step 2:
Strand your desired beads onto the wire and end each one with a wire loop
Step 3:
Take the remaining smaller piece of wire and make a loop at one end.
Step 4:
Braid the long wires, standed with beads together, ending them each with a wire loop.
Step 5:
Strand the braided wire onto the smaller piece, starting with a seed bead and putting a seed beed in between each wire, as you did in step 1. End by making a wire loop on the other side of the smaller piece.
Step 6:
Shape the bracelet to fit your wrist, and WHALAH! You have yourself a fabulous, cute, new bracelet 🙂
