My Paper Beads – by Ralitsa
I got to know Ralitsa when she asked me if she could post my kumihimo tutorial on her blog which led me to visit her blog and I was amazed by the beautiful paper beads she made out of paper napkins! I talked her into doing a video tutorial:)
They’re like peppermint candy, don’t you think? You can see this picture enlarged blog
My favorite is this magenta colored beads, they remind me of pomegranate.

We have concluded the Paper Bead Trade and I’d say that it was successful because of all the nice people who participated, who stayed committed to the project with enthusiasm and genuine interest in each others work. We have somehow came to know each other here. Here’s some of beautiful creations from Elim, Liz, Deina and Claire.
Elim, made necklace and earrings set, you can check out her paper bead charm bracelet here.
Liz, made earrings. I love the clear crystal and dark pink with gold combination. Definitely wearable.
Claire also made necklace and earrings, and you can find more of her creations on her blog:

I hope everyone had an inspiring weekend!
I must say, another day of turning trash to treasure.
My Paper Beads – by Christine
Catherine got her kit today and made a necklace and earrings! She said in her email to me that she has very little experience at jewelry making, but I think she did a marvelous job. Every one of you got one or two of the saucer shaped bead, and she made that to be the pendant.
I wish we had more photos, but Catherine’s camera was not cooperating….. you could still see and recognize some of the beads she used here.
As promised, I am sending a strand or an assortment of unique paper beads for the first 10 who can share with us a finished jewelry.
Keep creating…….paint a page, roll a paper bead, collage, write a journal……..whatever it is keep those creative juices flowing.

Sanja is one of our readers who like me, takes pleasure in taking pictures of her finished paper beads outside, in her garden. As you know, outside in natural day light is the best way to take photos of your jewelry. Sanja made these paper beads out of garden magazines and they came out really pretty, hell000 summer!
Sanja’s other hobby is photography, you can tell she’s having fun with these 🙂 Daisies are such happy flowers, don’t you think?
This bracelet was inspired by one of our tutorials. I wish I have her hands 🙂
I remember Kayla cut out flowers from one of her mother’s garden magazines and made it into earrings.
She also love incorporating shells into her jewelry making, you can read more about it here. The long three strand necklace held by shells is a nice way to use the long paper bead tubes.
I can almost smell the ocean with these colors
I consider this Design Idea # 4 🙂 You can substitute the shells with a 3 strand finding and you don’t even need a clasp, this will just go over your head. She certainly looks fetching don’t you think? Do you have a beach wedding to go to? This would just be perfect!
Any suggestions for Design Idea # 5? It would be greatly appreciated. If you do, just hit the Contact Me link on your right hand side.
Or, if you have a blog or website, leave us a comment with your link.
Tomorrow, is our last day for the Paper Bead Trade, we have about 20 participants right now that includes me (just providing the filler beads and findings), Kayla and my sister Joann.
