Ghia’s Beads – day 258
We named these tiny beads after the girl who discovered to make the skinny scraps of paper into tiny paper beads. Ghia, would pick up the scraps of paper that would fall off from the cutter from the sides of the ream of paper that was being cut. The tiny hands were perfect for rolling them into tiny beads. We don’t throw the scraps anymore, we make them into Ghia beads and they are great for beading projects such as this, The Ghia Necklace
This year, we are doing our annual School Supplies Drive for unfortunate Filipino Children. School opens in June, mostly kids from 7-10 year old will benefit from this annual event.

Paper Bead Bangle – day 182
I make one or two things each day and when I am in that “create, create, create” mood, 5 pieces or more. Paper bead jewelry ideas are endless! The Paper Bead Bangle is my favorite, it is something that I can just grab and go and it completes my out fit. It is easy to put on because of the magnetic clasp and for those of you who worries that it may fall off I attached a safety chain:)
I used 22 gauge wire to string the paper beads and wrapped the wire once in between beads and around each bead. I have tutorial on how to make this, please look under tutorial if you are interested in how to make one.

I love taking the small tube beads or what I call the olive shape beads and string them into wire and twist them into a torsade or as a choker. We did not put any beads with it, the only accent for this piece is the golden bead caps and the matching chain.
What a perfect accent to a plain white shirt 🙂

Paper beads is the perfect accent to liven up an otherwise boring jewelry. Anytime you want to add a pop of color to catch the eye, any paper bead in whatever shape or form provides interest to that piece.
