Posted on Sep 20, 2010 in How-To's / Tutorials, Paper Bead Creations | 6 comments

A few bead traders have already signed up for our Color Of Fall Paper Bead Trade, and I will leave this post open until Friday to  give a chance to those new visitors to our blog.  I will continue to update this post each day with new fall jewelry ideas and paper beads with fall colors. How does it work?  To make instructions easier to digest, here’s a little poem for you 🙂

Make Paper Beads of different size and shapes

with the color of fall

Twenty to Thirty should be plenty

You will then send it to me

To be stirred into a most colorful brew

A dash of orange, brown and yellow

It will look like a rainbow

It will then be sent back to you

In a pretty little bow

When you get your beads you can make it into a necklace or a bracelet, let your imagination take a flight!  Here is an example of bracelets, wire wrapped with gold swarovski crystals. These Golden Paper Bead Bracelets is just right in time for the holidays.

The finished paper bead jewelry would be multi colored and different shapes as it will show case the different beads from all the participants.  I always say this; paper beads jewelry can be elegant and I just treat paper beads as if it were real gems.  Here is an example of paper beads mixed with montana blue swarovski crystals.

Bicone Paper Beads

Posted on Sep 16, 2010 in Paper Bead Creations | 4 comments

When two cones are joined together it forms a bicone shape bead.   This is a very common shape in crystals specially swarovskis.  These bicone shaped paper beads are two inches long, looking exactly like two cones joined together.  This will be a part of our jewel tone collection, just in time for the Holidays!

My Paper Beads – by Hilde and Deb

I am going to share with you what Hilde and Deb did with their trade beads.  It is always fun how each one of us came up with ideas on how to use the paper beads.

This guy is so cute!

Hilde describes her work best:

“As you knoxw from my previous work, I like the etnic look. I bought one wooden bead and made a combination with the big saucerbead. present them on a picture of an African young lady. You have to wear it like this: the wooden bead and the saucer bead has to hang on the right side and not down the necklace. I also made some earrings. Especially the turquoise are nice, I think. I like the assymetric look.”

Like me, Hilde makes it fun taking pictures with her paper beads.

Hilde describes this next piece:

“You can also see that I made a bracelet with silver ornaments. I used a square with holes and put some very smal beads on it with  littlle  silver disks above.”

Few days ago, I featured Ralistsa and was so impressed with her video tutorial how that was put together with music background.  She referred to a site she used and I decided to put together something fun for us to remember what we did on the paper bead trade.

Are you ready to dance to the tune of One Fine Day?
