I like the idea of making your own beads, don’t you? Paper bead making has come a long way, it is not just a kids craft anymore. With the popularity of mixed media jewelry, beaders and crafters have pushed the limits of their creativity in creating their own beads and incorporating found objects into their pieces. Here, Kayla made beads out of scrap booking paper using our bamboo paper bead roller.

Kayla, chose the opalescent teal crystal, and the silver bead cap completes the look.

Turquoise blue paper beads are accented with gold “stardust” beads in this necklace and bracelet set. The bicone beads used here are painted with a nice blue that reminds me of the ocean.

This is something that you can wear all year round, dress it up or dress it down.

Simple and beautiful!

I have talked about the recycled printing paper before and made a necklace mixed with gem stone in green and also in plum colors mixed with pearls. This necklace will take you to the wild side, it is different and unique; shells, paper and crystals are mixed together.

The neck strands is finished with milky white crystals.

This will look nice with a long strapless dress 🙂

I love how these tiny paper beads in strands are laced together and held by paper bead cones. They are so luxurious to the touch and lightweight and to think that each bead signifies creativity and patience. If you are making something like this for a friend, it will be truly a work of love.

This can easily be adapted using other beads, but paper beads make special and unique, don’t you think?

From ordinary to extraordinary!

I want to share with you what Manou and Claire made with the painted beads swap, I think they are really creative and it an inspiration to me I hope you will be inspired as well 🙂

A hair accessory! I love it!

Manou found a way with mixing all the beads beautifully in this bracelet. I just love blue and chocolate brown combined together.

The matching earrings just spells summer to me! What can I say, brilliant minds……
