Crocheted Filigree Hoops

The other thing I am most passionate about aside from paper bead making is crochet.  I learned to crochet just from watching my aunts do it every single day when I was six years old.  I collect old crochet books and old patterns.  Recently, I discovered wire crochet and has been doing a lot of jewelry with wire.  This is a big hoop, but then I love my jewelry to be big and bold.

Here’s Kayla trying it on.  I think it looks good specially if you have long hair.

    Hi Rita,

To make small round paper beads the mesurement of the base of the triangle strip is 1/4 of an inch and tapers down to form a triangle. We use the metal roller to roller them because they come out rounder and smaller holes, perfect for jewelry making.

Oh, those earrings are so cute and quirky! Did she have any trouble with them getting tangled in her hair, though? That’s what I always worry about (but I have curly hair… that might make a difference).

Found you via SITS… hope your Thursday was great!
