The Style Of Steam Punk

Paper beads steam punk style?  Why not?  After all, paper beads date back to the Victorian era, certainly something those ladies are familiar with.  I got this big, old rusty key from the Pasadena Show last year and just got the chance to do something with it.  Extra small round beads and tube paper beads complete the look of this steam punk pendant.

My daughters get the Free People catalog and I’m the one excited, I love looking at their jewelry.  I imagine the pretty young ladies looking like nymphs walking around the woods and picking up anything of interest and just breathed life into these pieces.

I consider this pretty tamed in terms of found objects made into jewelry.  One day, I would just like to try and use real found objects and make it into an interesting piece.   Hmmm… I wonder if I will have time to do another swap, this time, we exchange found objects.
