Like Chocolate Pearls-day 29

Posted on Jan 29, 2011 in Paper Bead Creations | 3 comments

One of my my finds at a thrift store is a strand of seed beads.  They are so smooth and in different odd shapes that resembles like real pearls.  I am always admiring chocolate pearls in magazines and I thought if painted in something bronzy would mimic the look of chocolate pearls.

No one would argue with me if I tell them they’re chocolate pearls 🙂

Wouldn’t it be nice if you can just wear a new piece of jewelry every single day to match with your outfit?  I dream of a big cabinet that would organize all my paper bead jewelry, right now they are in ziplock bags with labels on them.

Hello paper bead fanatics 🙂  Today is our first day at the C.H.A., and met so many paper bead enthusiasts, who are amazed that everything we have in our booth is made of paper!  I am tired but happy, and not too tired to post a blog specially I know a few of you is checking what I made for today.  To be honest, I made pieces a week in advance to prepare for the show, but has not made anything yet for Monday!  We’ll see….. I always come up with something.

Say It With Hearts-day28

Posted on Jan 28, 2011 in 365 Paper Bead Creations | 4 comments

The snake chain is the easiest and most simple way to display your paper beads or any big hole beads, just slide it on there, attach clasp and your done.  I made this necklace in practically 10 minutes, it does not include making the paper beads of course.  I got the heart charms and finding at Michael’s Arts and Crafts, now they carry a huge variety of jewelry findings and beads that will go well with your paper beads.

I love the soft green and peach color combination of the paper beads, so feminine.

Valentine’s day is around the corner and you always would want to wear something with hearts….

blog2

I also love the fact that they beads are free to move around the chain.

It is certainly something you can wear all year round.

How romantic is that?

Today, we finished (more or less) setting up our booth at the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show at the Los Angeles Convention Center.   It would be nice to share photos with attendees at our booth 🙂

Swirls Of Colors -day 27

Posted on Jan 27, 2011 in 365 Paper Bead Creations | 3 comments

Browns, greens, red and other earth colors swirls around these bangles made up of tube paper beads mixed with glass with the different color of the cane glass showing through.  It looks like what I call “organized chaos” because once you put it on it just looks good together.

It also reminds me of licorice

Here it is worn with the vintage red bangle 🙂

Framed In Hematite – day26

Posted on Jan 26, 2011 in 365 Paper Bead Creations | 3 comments

Perfectly rounded fuchsia pink paper beads are snuggled inside hematite round bead frame.  I love the contrast of the dark pink and the shiny gun metal color of the hematite.  I was so glad that these beads fit just perfectly within the bead frames.

Turquoise color cross can be found at Michael’s Jewelry Aile, it will look nice with any of your  turquoise color paper beads.  You always hear me talking about my finds at Michael’s, I just find the inexpensive beads and findings they carry to be a great accessory with paper beads.

All you need is to learn basic stringing technique and you can make any necklace or bracelet with a beading wire, crimp beads and a clasp.
