My Paper Beads – by Elim

Posted on May 11, 2011 in My Paper Beads | 5 comments

Elim, just like the rest of us got hooked on making paper beads, and she makes some real nice ones.  She also blogs about her other interests like polymer clay and fun jewelry, you can see some of her stuff including a watch with a band made out of paper beads, here.

She certainly has an eye for color! I recognize some beads from the bead swap 🙂

Totally Unexpected Tuesdays

Posted on May 10, 2011 in Other Crafts & Crafty People | 2 comments

I pick today Tuesday, to get out of the norm and do a post that is unrelated to paper beads.  It could be other crafts; sewing, origami, mixed media, crochet, etc…..and if anyone would like to share their work what ever it maybe, just let me know.  It’s that time of year again for flip flops and sandals, so here is my Heads Over Heels, beaded flip flops.

blog1

I found the pattern from a beading magazine and I thought it would look nice on a sandal or flip flop.  I actually made this for myself but I thought of putting them on my etsy……

blog2

Well, it is kind of related to paper beads because I did a necklace with the same pattern using paper beads for the fringe!  See it on my next post.

Blue Paper Marbles – day 128

Posted on May 9, 2011 in 365 Paper Bead Creations | 3 comments

They remind me of the ocean, the white and blue swirls make them look like marbles.  The blue beads are from recycled printing paper with the color actually printed on them to achieve uniformity.

blog1

You can consider them chunky beads but so light weight!

blog2

Kayla added, a shell charm to complete the Ocean look 😉

Eye Of The Peacock Pendant – day 127

I always wonder what to do with beautiful peacock feather until now! Hanging from the cone paper beads and suspended by crystals and button bead, it looks just like what Hera would wear or me:)

blog1

It is a nice addition to your accessories, it certainly adds color to an out fit.

blog2

I hope everyone had a nice Mother’s Day with your loved ones!
