When you say washi paper, origami comes to my mind.  I look at the intricate patterns and I am just dying to make them into paper beads or at least find a way to incorporate them with paper beads.  The most common way to make them into a bead is wrap it around a wood bead that is cylindrical in shape, the result is just awesome! 

Got some boring looking paper beads?  Here’s how I did it…..

Button Bead Bracelet – day 278

……and here we are with day 278, bracelet/bangle from button paper beads, these are the baby version of our saucer beads.  With the button beads, the colors that you see are the sides or edges of your beads.  Here’s a bunch of them, strung with nylon strings ready to be sold to our customers and bead shops.

I recently did a video how-to for the button beads, here it is……

The nice thing about the saucer beads is the fact that they take on a different color on the other side, it is completely reversible!

I love the finished bead cut from our doodled page.  The colors and the design are preserved once you apply the Vibrance.  They look like speckled eggs to me, what do you think? 

I wanted to just make something simple and all paper beads piece.  The fuchsia pink is nicely complemented with the small round fuschia beads made from Avon catalog.
