Ocean Blue Drops – day 32

Posted on Feb 1, 2011 in Paper Bead Creations | 10 comments

Paper beads that are cut from the same page will have a similar pattern and colors and makes designing a piece easier.  Blue acrylic beads perfectly matched the ocean blue color of paper bead tubes.  I’ve had these blue drops for awhile now and don’t know quite what to do with them.  And then…..ocean blue paper beads makes the perfect back drop, don’t you think?

I think it came out really nice don’t you think?  The beads are water resistant and can be worn on the beach sun bathing in a blue or white bathing suit 🙂  Dreaming of summer already!

I have some of these beads left over from this project and I would like to give them away, so you can make one just like this.  Here’s how:  leave me a comment on anything that you have been crafting lately, doesn’t have to be paper beads.  We will announce the winner on Saturday.

  1. That is just divine!
I’ve been working on paper beads, crochet and quilling projects! I’m also considering playing with the sewing machine that is now covered in dust! Trying to keep busy with my 2 girls just started the school year here, one for the first time. It is eerily quiet!!

  2. Since we’ve been frozen in at home here in North Texas, I’ve been knitting leg warmers and socks for the family like crazy!! Brrrrr!

  3. I have been doing ceramic tile stenciled drink coasters. They come in a pack of 4 monogrammed set. These are fun and make so many people happy.

  4. I’ve been working on a cross stitch birth announcement for my son. He just turned 1 so I’m trying my best to finish it soon.

  5. i really like this blue set !
the last craft I did is 6 sarouels (indian style pants) for a group of dancers ! lot of work but also lot of fun !

  6. Very pretty – it does make me dream of summer!

I’ve been working on paper beads made from a Pop Tarts box. A friend sponsored a German exchange student a number of years ago and the young woman loved PT. So, I am designing a bracelet from the box. I’m also knitting an afghan – keeps me warm while doing something I enjoy.

  7. oh! it’s so pretty worn by kayla! this blue is so light and bright!
I recently knitted a shawl very soft and make extra-small teddy bear to the hook (it is 1.18 inch tall!!) and is adorable … I will try to send you pictures.
and of course, I did a lot of paper beads of various shapes and colors!
    That’s all!
    bisous, Manou.

  8. The blue necklace turned out beautiful. Did you use headpins with the blue acrylic beads? I have been making paper bead jewelry, scrapbook pages and greeting cards. I love all three and have to divide my time between them all.

    • Hi Linda,

Yes, we used head pins and bead caps. I’m glad you like them!
