I painted the big round paper beads with a soft green, love the refreshing color of mint. The lightness of paper beads goes so well with vintage beads and when put together just spells playful and fun. I must have desert on my mind when I made these, the paper beads reminds me cream di menthe.
The bead board is a necessary tool for me, it makes putting colors together and deciding on how long your necklace is going to be so much easier.
I wish you could try this on, they are so light and feels smooth on the skin. I just love the chocolate brown speckled oval beads.
Definitely casual chic!
I am thinking of having another swap with painted paper beads, what do you think?
Count me in too!
I love this necklace! Count me in on a painted bead swap, too!
I sure wish I could do this swap…so busy here, will have to sit this one out! I haven’t even gotten to put together my bracelet from teh fall swap! Boo hoo…:(
I need more hours in a day!
I would love to be part of it – count me in!
Oh, I forgot. You can count me in too if there is another swap.
Beautiful necklace Janice. I’m wearing the necklace today that we made in the fall bead swap – only as a bracelet coiled around my wrist. Makes me smile whenever I look at it!
Count me in for the next swap!
I love the color of those painted paper beads! I think that necklace turned out great. Of course you can count me in on another swap!
if there is another swap, count me in !
me too count me in!!
I love the idea of a swap with painted beads. I can’t wait. Count me in!!
I love these. You are right, the painted paper beads add new design possibilities. Do I detect some polymer beads in the finished necklace too?
Hi Gisela,
The necklace compose of “minted” paper beads and acrylic vintage beads but they do look like polymer clay specially the brown barrel shape one.
Of course I love the idea of a swap with painted beads!!! 🙂 Count me in!

Hi Manou,
Yes! The found objects as charms would look great with paper beads. Let me plan on how to “execute” this 🙂
