We call this smaller bicone beads diamond shape, done in all magazine colors!  This is a very basic necklace, but will add interest to a simple shirt or blouse.

Thank you so much for this information! Let me also ask how many beads you dip in Vibrance on fishing line at one time. Is 12 too many or should I keep a smaller number for better results?

  2. From what I can see, the colors are produced by using, not magazine pages with graduated colors in photographs, but advertising pages with blocks of bold color in the ads. The large bicone beads are made with heavy cover stock paper, not the lighter magazine page paper. To get that bold stripe in the center, just find source paper that gives you a solid color across the tip of the triangle. A stripe across the base gives you color at the tips of the bead, and stripes going across the middle of the triangle give you two stripes, one on each side of the center stripe. A heavy striped paper (like giftwrap or giftbags) will produce the results you want, Cathy.

    • Thank you Dorothy! Janice

  3. I too agree with the colors in your beads. I have stacks of magazines trying to get these colors. Especially the beads with solid stripes in the center! Beautiful!

  4. I totally agree with Jane! your colors are always fantastic! I love these necklaces that can be transformed into a bracelet … very nice …!
    bisous,Manou.

  5. I truly believe that your paper is more brightly colored than our paper in the states. Gorgeous!
