Big and Beautiful Paper Bead Bracelets
The group of Philippine women is a constant source of inspiration for me. They come up with new shapes, new ways of turning paper into beautiful paper beads. Any new thing they come up with you get to preview here, before they are sold in the stores or online. I received these big round paper beads yesterday and I immediately fell in love. My sister Joann and her husband Jun choose and cut the paper and distribute them to trained “paper beaders”. The fruits of their labor will soon be available at major craft stores and I am happy for them and hope for great sales. These chunky paper bead bracelets will draw attention to your wrists and will become instant conversation piece!

My sister calls this “wordy” paper beads. Jun cuts the paper in such a way that certain words are still visible.

I made a simple bracelet with copper and antique gold spacers.

I think they came out really nice

Another day of taking the ordinary to extraordinary!

Paper Beaded Flipflops
Summer is around the corner and it is time again for pretty pedicures and flip flops. This is such a fun project, easy and no beading experience required. I used the olive shaped paper beads for this project, some seed beads and 28 gauge craft wire.

Deck Your Home With Paper Beads
This is another post on how to make use of the tubular shape paper beads. Now that I have discovered that I can use paper beads to decorate my home that is what I have been doing. I find that the smaller paper beads are good for making jewelry and the bigger tube paper beads is great for curtains, mosaics and purses. Possibilities are endless……

I have this waste basket in my bathroom

Ever since I have rediscovered my glue gun, no trash can is safe.

I particularly like this shape, it’s like putting a puzzle together.

Tip: I found it easier to stop at this point and do the bottom part, this way it is even and clean at the bottom

I just love how this came out, what do you think?

Even the inside looks pretty, somehow the paper beads are showing through.

Paper Bead Mosaic Waste Basket
This is a nice project for those of you who are not into jewelry making and wondering what to do with all the paper bead tubes you have made. I took an empty cat litter plastic container and applied the paper beads of varying sizes using a glue gun – what I call paper bead mosaic! I could have used the plastic container like this but it is not pretty.

I have a lot of paper beads that are “rejects” in the sense that they are not uniform in size.

I did this over two days sitting in front of the tv watching home shopping channel – a good source for inspiration!

I filled the little gaps with little paper beads.

Each side looks different when you apply another color, I have one side redish/pinkish and the other side mostly yellow.

And here is the finished waste basket, the 8 gallon kitchen bags fits perfectly!

It inspired me to tackle my garden, my herbs needs trimming really bad!

And the roses needed some pruning too.

It ‘s a beautiful day, sun is out, birds are singing….

Why settle for ordinary when you can make it into extraordinary. Now, I just have a perfect spot for it in my home.
