Wire Crochet W/Paper Beads-day 88

Posted on Mar 30, 2011 in 365 Paper Bead Creations | 4 comments

Wire crochet is not as intimidating as it sounds.  You can wire crochet beads by learning just one stitch – chain stitch and make beautiful jewelry with it.  Here’s one I did using extra small (5mm) round paper beads in beautiful red and white.  We also have them available as a kit and I have a tutorial on this.

Coiled Bead Cuff – day 87

Posted on Mar 28, 2011 in 365 Paper Bead Creations | 5 comments

This is one of our “Bead Rehab” project where Kayla replaced the silk flower with our Saucer Shaped Bead. I like the “designer” look on this piece and the clean and sleek finish.

Green Goddess Earrings – day 86

Posted on Mar 27, 2011 in 365 Paper Bead Creations | 1 comment

This pair of Green Goddess Earrings definitely frames the face, takes an ordinary outfit from casual to casual chic:) Using bead caps is a good way to enhanced your bead, in this project I used diamond shaped paper beads and chose a nice magazine color and encased it with silver bead caps.

Wire Wrapped Cone Beads – day 85

Posted on Mar 26, 2011 in 365 Paper Bead Creations | 2 comments

I like how the Caged Cone Beads turned out, it looks like one of those “designer” pieces on some beading magazine.  I have recently been mixing wire with the paper beads and I like the look of it.  Like they say opposites attract?

I love using the non tarnish wire in gold, no need for gold filled (expensive!) it looks just as pretty.
