Beads In Orbit

Posted on Sep 30, 2010 in Paper Bead Creations | 9 comments

This type of design is very simple way to display both the paper beads and the exposed soft flex beading wire.  The paper beads almost look like the different planets in orbit with the colorful swirls of paper beads around each bead.  This particular design is the perfect example of how to best use different size paper beads, mostly round and olive shaped beads.

I love using the magnetic closure, easy on easy off!  The beads are movable but you can also glue it in place if you prefer that it stays put.  Like the solar system they should be free to move around, don’t you think?  🙂

Hmmm… this would look pretty in a three strand necklace, what do you think?

Jewelry Make-over

Posted on Apr 19, 2010 in Paper Bead Creations | 1 comment

I am a big fan of 99 Cents Store, I love going through their jewelry and taking them apart and use the findings for paper beads!  Kayla saw this bracelet with blue plastic beads.  You can wear it as it is but again, incorporating paper beads with your jewelry will take it from ordinary to extraordinary, don’t you think?  It becomes special and a conversation piece.  Kayla painstakingly took it apart and put one inch tube paper beads instead.  Take a look!
