Teeny Paper Beads by the Yard

Posted on Aug 31, 2010 in Paper Bead Creations | 2 comments

I know that some of you is just learning to make jewelry and find that connecting beads using wire loops can be challenging.  Like most things, you will get better with practice. This is how The Teeny Paper Beads by the Yard was made, I hope this will inspire you to try and make one yourself and make use of all the paper beads you have made.  The first thing you need to do for this project is make tiny paper beads or any size paper beads will do.

Paper bead roller and strips of paper

The size of the triangle strip should be 2/16 by 8 inches preferably thin magazine page if you want this to be really small like 3-4mm.  The metal roller is good for this as it makes smaller holes.

For this project we used the extra small paper beads and 24 gauge gold craft wire.

Here is a video I did awhile back on how to do a basic wire loop to connect the beads.  For the Teeny Paper Beads by the Yard the length of the wire should just be 2-2 1/2 inches since the beads are small.  This video is just to give you an idea on basic wire loops.

This is such a light feminine piece and so versatile.
