I chose teal olive shaped paper beads to be the backdrop for this beautiful abalone shell. I love the changing color of the shell that is also being picked up by the green and black swirls of the paper beads.

I love abalone shell, and the sheen and the play of colors that can only come from Mother Nature.

When we were doing the show, a lot of people mistake the beads as shells, they can look like shells or wood beads and to me that is great compliment 🙂

Paper Bead tubes in what I call parfait colors are attached to a metal chain, for an eclectic look. I love mixing metal and paper sometimes, kind of hot and cold, water and fire in the spirit of opposites definitely attracts!

Just another take on the Ladder Bracelet look:)

This is another take on the ladder stitch, using large tube paper beads with beautiful magazine colors. The tube paper beads are the easiest to make, and when you make them big enough, it will show the different colorways of the magazine where you cut it from.

The tubes measures 1 1/4 inch and the middle part is 1/4 inch wide. I have done several versions of the ladder stitch bracelet using silk cord, wire, elastic and even chains (my next project).

Not your ordinary ladder bracelet 🙂

I love how this Flower Medallion turned out, it started out as a project following a certain pattern and ended up as being free form. I love using the small paper beads for weaving projects that calls for seed beads, like wire work and peyote stitch, which I want to try one of these days.

I have a video I want to share with you on this piece…..
I love the fact that it can be worn in different ways.

I made little earrings from the left over fresh water pearls with just the hematite color seed beads to match. I love when you wear matching pieces as long as it’s not too matchy, matchy 🙂

We are celebrating Earth Day this week with the Color Of Earth Necklace. What a great way to show your fashionista side and your green side:) Long necklaces are definitely in and neutral tones just goes with everything!

As you can see, tiny paper beads are hand knotted using brown silk cord.

Happy Earth Day Everyone!
