I think, that in order for you to teach something effectively is to put yourself in that person’s shoes. Having said that, I was experimenting on how to effectively demonstrate how to crochet with wire using your fingers! It is sometimes intimidating when you have to work with a tool. It is really simple as you can see here:
Baby steps……….until you become comfortable putting a crochet hook in your hand:)
Who needs a hook when you have your fingers right? Here is the finished piece!

This is the gold version of wire lace crochet, this time I used tiny olive shaped paper beads and accented with 3mm tiger’s eye beads. Mixing natural stones with paper beads will just take your paper bead jewelry up a notch! I am sharing with you a video I did on a kit I have on my etsy shop, just for inspirations 🙂

Here is the finished piece!

I have made several wire crochet jewelry and I will continue to do so because it never fail to impress! I would like you to learn it as well and I am working on a tutorial for beginners on “how to crochet” using your fingers! In the meantime, here is what I made using a mixture of paper beads and seed beads.

Just like wearing lace on your wrist!

I would like to apologize for not being consistent in my posts, I have taken in more than I could chew so to speak so I ask for your patience and understanding 🙂 I would like to share with you a piece that is close to my heart just because I love anything crochet. I had no intention of making a ring out of the wire lace I was working on, but then it was 3 am in the morning and when it is that late at night, anything goes 🙂

I crocheted 28 gauge wire measuring approximately 1 1/2 inches x 8 inches long and just folded them into layers and embellished them with beads. This ring is not for the faint of heart 🙂

I loved the idea of the paper cocoon especially around the Holidays. They can be used as little gift boxes for little presents such as trinkets, truffle or even money. Lately, I have been using them as purse charms and received tons of compliments:)

Unique purse charm, what do you think?

I would also write a little prayer or wishes in a small piece of paper and that in itself is a gift.

Note: No living things were harmed in making the Paper Cocoons 🙂
