I got to know Ralitsa when she asked me if she could post my kumihimo tutorial on her blog which led me to visit her blog and I was amazed by the beautiful paper beads she made out of paper napkins! I talked her into doing a video tutorial:)

They’re like peppermint candy, don’t you think? You can see this picture enlarged blog
My favorite is this magenta colored beads, they remind me of pomegranate.

The Paper Bead Trade has come to an end, and it was such a nice experience – my very first Bead Trade. In one of my posts I ask if there’s anybody who would be interested in hosting the next trade and I got an email from Karina, she has some neat ideas and a very cool theme, so why not? Now that everybody’s got the paper bead fever…….in the mean time, Kayla, myself and my baby grand daughter Lana celebrated the end of the Paper Bead Trade by wearing our “thrifted tiaras” (soon will be on my etsy).
Here are the paper bead bracelet prizes:
Diamond shape paper beads are mixed with seed beads with an om gold color charm

Paper Beads from participants are combined in this yummy colored bracelet

These are the black beads I made from earlier post, mixed with India glass:

I was just thinking about it the other day that I did not miss wearing business clothes, suits and high heels. I am grateful that I don’t have to do that anymore, once a month, maybe. I work from home most of the time, go to the shop, run errands…….and always dress casual but always with jewelry, custom jewelry-paper beads jewelry! I love to mix it with my other fashion accessories. I added a new category to my etsy shop – Accessories, where you will find fun rings, pendants that will go nicely with paper beads.

The acrylic irregular shaped cabochon (meant to be used as mosaics) looks like slices of oranges. They look good worn together.

The orange cabochon are encased in a crocheted craft wire.

The stones are so light weight and comes in greens and blues.

Another day of turning the ordinary to extraordinary!

Our feature for today are the handiwork of Ashley and Emily! It is exciting to me seeing the different things that “Paper Beaders”, (I think from now on this is what I would call anybody who is into making paper beads, agreed?) 🙂 , made out of their kit. So, here’s what I got for you today.

Emily's Paper Beads Necklace
Emily combined her new found hobby of making chain mail with the paper beads and it came our really nice, sort of Gothic, I think.

Emily's Paper Bead Earrings
I love how different color of paper beads are woven into this flower pendant

Emily's Paper Bead Flower
Last but not least, is from Ashley. She made a bracelet and earrings set, I think she is a budding photographer, it is so clever how she displayed her work in a glass of water, the blue straw is just the perfect contrast.

Ashely's Paper Bead Bracelet and Earrings
I am working on a video for the raffle drawing, I am trying to get a “special guest” draw the names from the Paper Bead Trade Participants. There will be three prices that is going to be drawn, and it can be you!
My sister Joann had a break from her hectic “filling up paper bead orders schedule” and decided to have a little fun on the side, still with paper beads. Her other hobby which occupies her time when she can tear herself away from making paper beads is gardening. Somehow, she found a way to combine both, paper bead lady bugs, paper bead bees and flowers definitely go together, what do you think?

She was inspired one day when she found lady bugs crawling on her green tomatoes.

Paper Beads imitating nature?

She made them from left over gift wrap and construction paper. Some them turn out like Easter eggs, don’t you think? Good job sis!

Another day of turning ordinary to extraordinary!
