Golden Paper Bead Earrings and Bracelet
We made these to match the golden necklace in our earlier post. The earrings are so light and feels like you are not wearing anything. I just love, love these! I knew I had to make it a set but did not quite know how to put the earrings together. After trying findings and beads to go with it, we settled on the bead caps, I’d say the earrings came out pretty don’t you think?

Another day of taking the ordinary to extraordinary.

The Look Of Leather Paper Beads Necklace
Pleather gives you the look of leather without the stiffness that is sometimes common with leather. Pleather I guess is a word coined from leather and plastic, it feels supple and light, just perfect for paper beads. Kayla put together this necklace by spacing them out with knots and finished it off with the cord end findings. She used the regular paper bead tubes, gold color spacers and India glass beads.

The ends of the cords are encased in a fold-over finding.

This is a very simple, easy design. If pleather is not available, try it with just a cord or ribbon.

Eight Strand-Paper Bead Bracelet
This is another example of turning a piece of jewelry from ordinary to extraordinary with paper beads! Kayla found this wood bracelet at our favorite shopping place – the 99 cents store, you can wear it as it is I guess but then it looks so ordinary, you take out the wood beads and replace it with paper beads and BOOM! you have a nice piece of jewelry. We substituted the wood beads (set aside for another project) with olive shaped paper beads and just used elastic to string them.

Here’s videos on how we did it:

Here it is on the wrist

Can also be worn this way.

Another day of taking ordinary to extraordinary! Thank you for visiting.

3 Strand Chunky Necklace
You open fashion magazines and what you see are bold and chunky jewelry. Kayla G, fell in love with the white agate and dyed Socho jade. Looking at this necklace, it would still be pretty with just the two strands of white agate and socho jade. And then again, if you want to take ordinary to extraordinary, add the Paper Beads and boom! You have transformed the necklace to something special.

In Kayla’s own words:
I made sure each strand consisted of a different shape and size to clearly show the uniqueness and beauty of each stone. The White Agate is a nugget shape, the Socho Jade is a coin shape and the Paper Beads are olive shaped.
After I was finished stranding each strand on soft flex, I twisted the strands together and connected them to an eye pin and added a bead cap.

The necklace is about 22″ in length

Endless possibilities with paper beads……
