Spring Fling – day 75
Painted in pink paper beads just spells spring and summer. I love these painted beads, they make coordinating them with other beads easier. The colors in this Springy necklace can easily be seen in the profusion of flowers I find in my walk around our neighborhood.
We adjusted our clock this past weekend to spring forward! Wearing something that will help you usher in spring will put that extra spring in your steps 🙂
Helloooooo Spring!
Braided – day 73
This is a very simple way to string your paper beads or beads by braiding them using a cord. I used paper yarn for mine, but you can use hemp, cotton or linen thread.
To make it easier, you need to tape the cords into a table if you don’t have a hemp board, this way you can have a tight braid. In case you don’t know, it is just like braiding hair 🙂
I finished it with a simple button and loop closure. The turtle shell pendant completed the “beachy” look.
Jade Green And Prehnite – day 72
The beads in this String Spring Necklace are also made out of recycled printing paper in soft jade green color. I wish you could see and feel them in person. Recycled printing paper are cut and several strips are rolled to make one bead 20 x 22 mm in diameter.
Each bead is made out of several strips of paper making it a substantial piece, not exactly a light piece.
Planning a green theme wedding? I can imagine the mother of the bride or brides maids wearing this, don’t you think?
Paper Bead Plums – day 71
I just love the purple(ish) color of the beads in this Paper Plums Necklace. Can you believe they are made out of recycled printing paper? They are quite expensive to make not your usual paper beads. They measure about 22 x 20 mm and it is a perfect bicone shape.
Fresh water pearls in plum colors seem like the perfect choice to accent these beads.
So perfect for weddings or any special occasion with a green theme to it, don’t you think?
