Our Version Of The Gaelic Weave
The Gaelic type of weaving beads into a leather chord is so popular these days. Here’s is our version using the diamond shaped paper beads:
The bicone shape of the paper beads is great for this type of bracelet.
I love the versatility of this design, practically anyone will look good in it, both men and women don’t you think?
Crystals Cocktail Ring – day 83
Another cocktail ring “spiked” with crystals for those of us who cannot live without our bling 🙂 Green round paper beads are wire wrapped to a five loop ring finding and finished with swarovski crystals randomly placed in between the beads.
Swirls of greens and reds that sparkles here and there….
Friendship Coiled Bracelet – day 82
Beads big and small from places near and far have all been sorted out packed and shipped today! It was a little bit of a challenge, we had to equally divide up the beads and made sure that everyone gets a little bit of everything. Kayla, I think did a good job 🙂
In your kit, you will get paper beads from all the participants, some painted beads from Kayla and me, some random filler beads, elastic and some memory wire. Here’s an example of what Kayla made with just two-loop memory wire.
So now, you have the task of putting it together and making it your own. I hope you will like it and have fun with it as much as we did!
Color Me Red – day 81
I am going all out red on this Shanghai Red Necklace. I just love the carved red fan pendant. I always have this fascination with fans, it reminds me of my mother, she always carry a fan in her purse that smells of perfume. The red painted bicone beads are just perfect with these, it has that same matted red color.
My first choice was to use gold findings because that would be more “Asian”(y) look, but it would be too much and silver will go with most things. I love the romantic look to it.
