If Only I Could Talk Bead – day 248
It’s not always that we find words on our beads, so to solve that problem you can cut out words and paste it on your bead. Choose nice words from junk mail, old books, magazines, cut it out and just apply it onto already made bead.
Here’s how I did it:
Carnival Necklace – day 247
I’ve had these beads for a long time because frankly I didn’t know what to do with them. My sister made them for me, they are big – 1 1/2 inches long, 1 1/4 inch wide and hollow inside. It “spoke” to me the other day to make something fun with it and so I came up with the Carnival Necklace.
I love big statement pieces jewelry, I don’t have anything tiny and petite in my jewelry box, the cute pieces I have, my daughters are wearing them:)
It is something nice to wear at a children’s party, fiesta, mardi gras, sipping martini by the beach…….
Songs and Tear Drop – day 246
I am starting a new shop in etsy: Paperbeadsprincess it will be filled with beads and findings that I love and I’m sure you will too. I made this Song Hits Necklace accented with beautiful Tear Drop mother of pearl which you can find in my new shop. The paper beads used here is made out of a “Song Hits” magazine popular in the Philippines.
The mother of pearl is one of my finds at the Gem Show. I wire wrapped it the same way I did with the briolet. I think this would be lovely if you hang more than one on a chain.
I will remember to be happy and sing a tune in my head when wearing this necklace 🙂
Paper Beads Pearls and Briolets – day 245
Part of the joy in creating something is overcoming challenges along the way. I love long necklaces because you have more than one option in wearing it and great for layering, mixing and matching…..You know how I love incorporating pearls and crystals to my jewelry pieces, this is exactly what I did with this Long and Luxurious Necklace.
Here is a short tutorial on how to wrap a briolet.
Here’s the more than one way you can wear it:
Lariat
I made a removable charm that can be attached to the lobster claw clasp so you can wear it as a lariat. It made my day when I fixed the problem of the one end of the necklace looking unfinished.
