Blueberry Choker – day 252

Posted on Mar 12, 2012 in 365 Paper Bead Creations | 2 comments

The beads in this necklace reminds me of blueberries, it has swirls of black, white and blue.  This is another bead rope crochet project, it seems like my creativity lead me to bead rope crochet it must be because I have been seeing it on catalogs and shopping channels.

Here’s a video just to give you an idea.

Spring has sprung in sunny California, this necklace is definitely jean-friendly.  I can imagine wearing it with white shirt, sun dress……

Earth Color Bangle – day 251

Posted on Mar 10, 2012 in 365 Paper Bead Creations | 1 comment

I have taken up bead rope crochet again, and rekindled my love for meditative project such as crochet, anything that you can “mindlessly” do while talking to your spouse or watching tv:)  I love the combination of the double bicone focal bead and the glass beads, prompting me to call this bangle “Earthen”

The focal bead does not only add beauty to the piece but makes it easier to finish the bead rope crochet.  Having to do an invisible joint can be a challenging task.

Suddenly, it’s the in thing again! Want to make a statement?  Layer it on!

Hot Pink Bangle – day 250

Posted on Mar 9, 2012 in 365 Paper Bead Creations | 1 comment

What do I love about paper beads?  It is not just any bead, it is made out of something that at one point means something.  Old magazines, catalogs, books music sheet…….the new Hot Pink Bangle is made out of Avon catalogs.

Have you tried bead rope crochet using seed beads?  I must admit for a new bee is quite challenging!  Well, here is my version using 6mm of the hot pink avon beads.

Woodland Necklace – day 249

Posted on Feb 27, 2012 in 365 Paper Bead Creations | 1 comment

Introducing the baby cocoon beads!  They are so small compared to our paper cocoons which is about 3 inches long.  I had fun putting the Woodland Necklace together, and I love the finished piece.  You put it on as you welcome spring or summer or don it on a dreary winter to chase the grey clouds away.

See it up close and personal 🙂

Is it a cocoon, a larva, a caterpillar?  Whatever it maybe it will turn into something beautiful once worn.
