I have been making a lot of stuff lately using the tiny paper beads. I remember making rosary beads in high school by beading around a big hole bead with seed beads. This is kind of the same technique except I am using paper beads around a painted wood bead.
I love how this came out, they look chunky but at the same time so feminine, don’t you think?
I used thin fishing line to string the beads and sew it around the wood bead. I wanted to make a necklace but did not have enough of the wooden bead.
It is a beautiful day today despite the threat of possible torrent, more beautiful because Kayla and I are going to a gem fair today in Costa Mesa, yay!!!! Whatever great finds we bring with us I will be sharing with my readers, so stay tuned for a giveaway 🙂
please tell me where I can find instructions for…How do I make round beads? Thanks so much you all are so gifted.
I love the technique, and the beads go together so well. Great job!
Wow that is so beautiful!
I’ve never seen this kind of technique before. I really like how this turned out. I hope you had fun at the gem fair.
I love the look that the chunky bracelet gives! it is especially nice colors… I love the contrast with the bright turquoise! I’ll probably make one for me …
(we stay tuned for more informations …)
bisous,Manou.
