Black and White Set – Paper Bead Idea # 3
This black and white earrings and ring set is made of the zentangle paper beads from this post. It is sometimes hard to find black and white jewelry to go with your black and white outfit. I have solved that problem and actually wore this set to a an afternoon gathering with family and friends. Paper beads jewelry can certainly be dressy if you want it to be, and can hold up to real jewelry…

So here I am wearing it 🙂

It was beautiful outside yesterday

The chandelier earrings can be worn casual since they’re paper beads and I used earring findings by black lace in one of my trips to Michaels, you can see more here.

With my brother-in-law George

Are you proud enough to wear your paper beads jewelry? Do you want to share it here?

This black and white version of the sea anemone ring was wire wrapped to this two loop finding. I will be putting ring findings to the kits I am sending out to the Paper Bead Trade participants 🙂

We have about 15 people signed up for the Paper Bead Trade, is OPEN until June 30th. For those of you who wants to sign up just email me (button is on the right hand side).

Have You Tried Zentangles?
While I was at the Craft and Hobby Association Supershow few months ago at the Anaheim Convention Center, I came across Suzanne McNeill, she is a certified zentangle teacher and she is the author of Zentangle Basics. For those of us who has not tried drawing or is scared to try, this is the perfect baby steps we need to take. I’m glad I stopped by their booth.
In simple words: It’s turning doodles into art designs. The tools you need: paper, pencil and fine tip marker.
These are some of the amazing work found at the zentangle booth.

I was looking at this and I thought; this could make a cool paper bead, cut up into strips of triangles.

This is just one example of a zentangle on canvas as a collage, isn’t that pretty neat?

This is my favorite, I bought a blank mask made out of paper mache with this in mind.

Kayla got inspired and did her own zentangle spelling out her name.

It came out really nice don’t you think?

In my next post, I’m going to try making paper beads out zentangled page 🙂 I’m actually excited to do this next!

Today, we set up our table at the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show (CHA), can you tell we are excited? I’ve never been to one before so forgive me If I am over enthusiastic, I will probably be talking about this for days, up until Wednesday, at least. I was star struck when I get to met book authors and artists that I only get to watch on youtube.

This is our table, we are at the New Exhibitor’s Section.

The very first thing we put up there is our banner.

I met Suzanne McNeill, author of Zentangle Basics in case you have not heard about zentangles please check her out.

I was tickled pink when I met Suzie Blu, she is a mixed media artist and I am a huge fan! She was nice and patient enough to pose with me. I have to get myself a pink wig just like hers.
