I don’t know if some of you has worked with pleather before, they are soft and flexible and just looks like leather.  Kayla, knotted the pleather in between small round paper beads.

The feather is the perfect pendant for it, big and a little heavy, it sorts of anchors the light necklace so it lays beautifully!

The Look Of Leather Paper Beads Necklace

Posted on Apr 23, 2010 in Paper Bead Creations | 1 comment

Pleather gives you the look of leather without the stiffness that is sometimes common with leather.  Pleather I guess is a word coined from leather and plastic, it feels supple and light, just perfect for paper beads.  Kayla put together this necklace by spacing them out with knots and finished it off with the cord end findings.  She used the regular paper bead tubes, gold color spacers and India glass beads.

The ends of the cords are encased in a fold-over finding.

This is a very simple, easy design.  If pleather is not available, try it with just a cord or ribbon.
