These hand painted kokeshi dolls (Japanese dolls) is another work of art by Manou. If you remember, Manou made the matryoskas in a similar fashion. I just loved these little faces they are soooo cute!

They remind me of that designer fragrance with the cute Japanese faces:) Something that can be worn by women of all ages. Manou is making more for me and when I get it I will have one pair giveaway and put the rest on etsy.

You want your beads to be preserved forever? Showcase them in metal findings and set them with resin or diamond glaze. This way you can admire and your beads and it hides whatever flaws they may have. But then again, I always say that flaws give a piece character because nobody is perfect right?

Sprinkle 3mm swarovski crystals to give it a little sparkle.

Aside from being a Fall Color, orange is my favaorite color; sunset, fire, citrus, balloons……The petite olive paper beads in this earrings are just the perfect orange with swirls of of beige and blues. I had an outfit in mind when I made this, I think it’s great that you can accent any outfit you have with paper beads.

Just perfect for Fall don’t you think?

Sweet Sixteen Necklace – day day 191

This is one of my favorite necklace why? It is feminine, I love the colors of pink and periwinkle blue together, it is something that 16-60 girls or women can wear. The rosary loops make look delicate and dainty, something for the girly girl, like most of us:)

It is good to be back! I honestly did not realize how much I missed sharing with you ideas and paper bead inspirations. It was hectic around here the last few weeks and I apologize for not posting, I wish there were more than 24 hours in a day. I have received the most amazing matryoshka doll in paper beads from Manou! Can anybody tell how to spell matryoshka? I would need your input on how to incorporate them into my creations.

Making the small round beads is just as easy as making the big tube paper beads. They are great as spacers and bracelets, the bigger holes of the paper beads make them a breeze to string using elastic. We are going for the rustic look in the Three’s A Charm Bracelet.

The color of nature is what inspires this triple strand necklace. The czeck glass beads is what inspired this piece, it just picks up every color of the paper beads.

This will also look good with bigger paper beads paired with bigger crystals!

Candy Charms – day 145

This necklace is inspired by some high end jewelry line, with big chunky paper bead bicones as the main attraction. It hangs from an old silver chain and accented with rainbow agate, fleur de lis charms and a peace sign!

Each of the beads are accented with 6mm bead caps, I love using bead caps with paper beads!
