There is beauty in simplicity, and this is what I absolutely love about this earrings! What a way to display the swirls of magazine color. The double bicone bead is made from stacking several strips of paper, depending on how big you want your bead to be.

Cone shaped paper beads are wire wrapped to look like “twisters”! I had fun making these earrings because they are so simple to do.

The Color Of Tidal Wave -day37

The ocean deep blue color of the nail polish used to paint these beads is called tidal wave, looks like the color of “angry” waves. I used nail polish a lot in painting my beads because of the richness in colors aside from the fact that I love the names. Red, is not just red, it can be mustang red or strawberry red

I think it is a good idea to paint our beads in just one color for the bead swap this way, you can make something that is similar to this.

We thought it is the perfect accompaniment to the spotted glass beads we found at the Pasadena Show. I just love this bead, it has flecks of gold, blue and pink just unusual.

They came up with beading wire in a rainbow of colors, no need to hide your wire, this is meant to be shown and be a part of your design. Here is a project idea, that I did with softflex medium in violet color. Don’t you love the mod colors in this necklace? I found these beads on sale at Jo-Ann’s fabric store. The paper beads I used are the diamond shape in coordinating colors and the extra small round beads.

Softflex medium in amethyst color. The hot pink looks so pretty too, I’d say it’s cotton candy color.

Think Pink Bead Rehab Giveaway

The Rock Candy Paper Bead bracelets I have on etsy is one of my best selling items and I get a lot of emails asking me for a less expensive alternative for the crystals that are used. In one of my trips to the local thrift store I found some fun necklaces that are made of lucite and plastic beads and one of them is made of pink plastic bead with a nugget shape to it. I don’t think I want to wear the necklace by itself, so I took it apart and mix it with paper beads to give it “character”. I love the finished bracelets, they look chunky but light.

I picked this one.
