Carolyn Dawn Good (pen name Rhiah Clachir), paper bead artist/jewelry maker who incorporates wire and paper into her one of a kind designs. You will find her exquisite designs at www.thebeadrollson.com. I suggested that she comes up with a tiara and she did in a matter of hours.

Today, I have some eye candy for you from one of my talented followers Manou If you remember, Manou made the mini Matryoshka dolls which she hand painted. Manou just took paper bead painting to the next level in these little sweet treats she made.

Can you believe they are all made from paper? My favorite is the wedding cake.

Fat free, calorie free and totally delicious

Hello everyone! I would want to start off by saying, I am so sorry for disappearing for days, things just got too hectic in a good way. I have continued to create, create for the 365 day challenge, just don’t have the time to post them so please be patient. I will be back on JTV August 4th so I hope you will join me together with energetic host Kim and JTV in house designer Margot Potter. The new paper bead template kit will debut on jtv and I am excited to share this with you, we will have fun with the new template kit I’m sure.

The Paper Bead Mix Kit will also debut on JTV, included in this kit are most of our popular shapes; saucers, cones, round, tubes and diamond shape, a total of 260 beads! Imagine the jewelry you can make with this!

Christmas Paper Beads

The red and green colors of these paper beads makes them perfect for Christmas jewelry. Kayla added some gold tone beads to complete the Holiday look. Today also I hosted a Christmas party for friends and colleagues and lots of yummy Filipino food, but it’s the dessert that takes the cake

Kayla and I donned on our Santa hats so we can properly greet you Happy Holidays! We hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends.

I know it’s hard to see but Kayla and I are both wearing paper bead earrings in this picture. Here’s a close up on the bracelet set.

A Peek At The C.H.A. Show

Kayla and are excited to be a part of the Craft and Hobby Association for the second time this year. Part of the fun aside from dressing up our booth and getting to display our new line of paper beads is meeting crafters and artists alike and getting up close and personal to new products this year.

These comes in a rainbow of color and they are so vibrant in colors just like candy.

Cathy found me through my blog and we have been exchanging emails since then. She has a son Travis who works for the Peace Corps and has what he calls “little rascals” who follows him around. When Cathy told me that she is sending paper beads she has made to Travis for the children, I sent her a bag of my own left over paper beads. Cathy has mastered cutting her beads to precision as evidenced by these necklaces in Christmas colors!

These were made from glittered card stock from Joann’s, and she finds it easier to roll the card stock with the bamboo roller. And since, Cathy and Tom are Pittsburgh Steeler Fans, she made beads in gold and black. I think they turned out great!

Travis, wanted to share some photos of the Little Rascals, getting busy making paper bead bracelets and necklaces.

Children does not need much to make them happy, it is nice to see them appreciate the simple things in life.

I’m sure all of Cathy, Tom and Travis efforts are appreciated as evidenced by these smiling faces

Friendship Beads Necklace

Seeing all the beautiful beads in beautiful fall colors; pumpkin, spice, oranges and browns from places as far as Croatia and France each painstakingly rolled into a bead makes me think of them as Friendship Beads. I counted seventeen participants including Ashley and Jennifer whose beads are being mailed as we speak. I have shown you the Beads In Orbit and Memory Wire Bracelets as examples of what we can possibly make out of the trade beads. Kayla and I look at the beads and thought that they would be displayed better in a longer necklace because of the different shapes and size of the beads. Take a look and tell me what you think.

The necklace is about 48 inches long

You can wear it also doubled up like this

Since it is strung on jewelry elastic, you can also wind it several times on your wrist

The necklace is highlighted with seed beads, crystals, buttons and wood beads

I think your necklace would look nice with all the fall colors. Your kit would include: jewelry grade elastic, seed beads, wood beads, buttons and of course the paper beads from all the participants. Play with it, have fun with it add more beads from your own collection.
