Beaded Curtain – Day #235

So you’ve made tons of paper beads because you just can’t stop making them!  What do you do with it?  My answer to this dilemma is to make curtain or a wall hanging.  Here is a beaded curtain idea.  I made them all uniform and coordinated but it does not have to be.  You can string beads at random and put left over beads in between and it will come out like a work of art.

I am still working on creating a studio with paper bead curtains and screens, but time is a luxury………:(

  1. Janice…this is great! I know I was just making and making and making…not quite enough for a curtain…but maybe one day!!! 🙂

  2. I’ve got a box where I keep leftover beads after a project or bead sets that didn’t come out quite the way I wanted. My thought was that eventually I’d have enough to make a curtain–but I think it’s going to take a while! Did you add heavier beads at the ends of the strands to get them to hang straight?

  3. Hi there Janice,a great idea ive a ton of one, two and quarter inch beads from when i first started making paper beads and was attempting to get my beads uniformed in size. They have been sitting in a large container for a good while now,so perhaps i have enough to frame my window that lights my stairwell. All are from magazines and flyers from the mailbox so im thinking as the light hits them they will look rather pretty, thank you for the nifty project idea once again sincerely Diane

  4. I love this idea! I think these beaded curtains, in addition to being useful, are very beautiful and very decorative! still a great idea Janice!

  5. Nice idea but I haven’t made that many yet… 🙂 but I sure like yours…
